WORKSHOPS

I run calligraphy workshops for clients from private individuals to larger groups of 10 across London and Surrey. My workshops focus on Modern Calligraphy, please get in touch if you're interested to find out more.

A well chosen script can reflect the mood and feeling of an event or occasion. In an increasingly digital age, the art of writing is a treasured art. I work using a wide variety of media and scripts from traditional copperplate to modern bespoke lettering to create corporate event invitations, menu's, place names, save the date cards, wedding invitations...

When words hold a meaning hand written calligraphy reflects the value that is placed in it. A thank you card, a poem or personalised gift, the importance of the words are emphasised when writing with a nib and pen. Modern and edgy or traditional and elegant I work across many writing styles on different media from handmade papers to acrylic, wood, leather and natural materials. A plain leaf can turn into a beautiful place card, a tile into a keepsake…

To compliment my love and obsession of calligraphy I became a diploma student at the CBSA (Chelsea School of Botanical Art) in January 2017, to complete in Summer 2019. The two disciplines, calligraphy and botanical painting, are often found in combination. I pay equal attention to both and hope that one day I can continue the tradition and merge them together. I will continue to update this site with the progress of the course.
